Prayer is a weapon we are unpracticed in wielding?
But I want to know what you're praying for?
Let me know, k.
And if you aren't yet praying (and I mean specifically to the God of the Bible) what's the hold up?

Breakfast
Has it been a month? OK, OK, so it's been a month.
And here are my thoughts.
First off, I would definitely do it again.
At first, I didn't know what to do with myself, which just meant that I wasted my time in other ways. Then, still hooked on the vlogbrothers, I bought a John Green book. I was going to be a big reader or something. I read it, liked it well enough. Moved on the next book on my list: Wrestling Prayer by Eric and Leslie Ludy. I had picked it up before but had to put it down because it was too challenging. I did get through it, and would highly recommend it to anyone serious about spending time with their King (Jesus).
From all this, it has come about that I need to purposefully not waste time. It's just far too valuable to be squandered. And I want to be spending hours in prayer because that would be anything but wasted time.
I definitely won't be watching YouTube anymore, I'd like to only, or mostly only be using my computer for the essentials, which I've decided for me, are basically, email (which may sometimes mean facebook - you have filter those to know which are junk and which are of use), the calendar feature, online banking (I've had to go biking for that every time this past month), and perhaps the dictionary feature.
This blog doesn't make the cut. I'm really sorry. That's not to say I won't ever post anything, but when I do, it'll be with irregularity. Still, feel free to leave comments, they get sent to my email, and I read them all. Ask me how I'm doing and stuff. I'd love that.
That's about it. It has been an amazing month. And again, I would definitely, recommend that book Wrestling Prayer to anyone interested. And if you do read it let me know.

Life Right Now
Lately I've been a little bit out of the Word. Partly because of business, partly because I think I'm not being fed by my small group because we're doing a back to the basics thing with our church and I really want to get into something deeper. All excuses aside, it's really a shame for two reasons. First is that this is the Christmas break. So for me that means that I should be spending more time with God, not less time praising Him for all that he did. I had a second reason, I know it... Secondly, when I read less I pray less and that just sucks. It affects all of me.
There are so many things I could be praying for too. One thing that's been on my mind lately is one of me cousins. She's one of my favourite cousins to hang out with. Her family isn't Christian and she's 22, perfectly capable of making decisions for herself. After finishing the Christmas dinner we were sitting together and she got up. I thought maybe to get a drink from the kitchen or to go to the washroom or something. She came back a little while later and smelt of smoke. It made me really sad to smell that. She drinks out at parties and stuff and I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't a virgin either. (But I'm very glad I've been given no reason to believe that!)
Her sister, on the other hand, is an amazingly strong Christian finishing her last year at Liberty U. I bet she's praying for her and I want to be too.
Also, I really want to be praying about the one dream I've really been given and hold on to. It's a dream of community for the church. Something like Acts 2. I'm dreaming of a place where people really know each other. Where our age doesn't limit those who we care for and spend time with. For a people that prays like crazy all the time. A place where there's trust and accountability. Something like that....
I want to do a study on covenant and I want to get a new NASB study Bible as soon as possible. And I need to finish a painting for art class.

"All I know is you need love and I've got a family" - AudioA (Big House)
I may or may not have mentioned this before but this place, bloggers that is, is really cool. We're all blogging friends I guess, but I think it's more than than that. We're pretty much prayer partners too, for whereever we're at. This place but mostly you guys are just blessings God has given me. From October, when I first started, to March no one even knew about this blog and I was hardly on.
Then, one April day, I was "managing posts" and when at looked to the right side of the screen I was suddenly shocked to see "1 comment" appear. It was in fact Sam! I guess you could say she's my home girl (don't worry I don't normally say things like that). Since then I've been on almost at least every other day.
So guess it's the same for everyone, this kind of fascination with the fact that none of us (except Sam and Casey) have actually met, and yet we feel so close, almost like a family. And from the comments left here and from what I've seen elsewhere, there's a lot of prayer going on if we're all keeping our words. It's just like "Sure I'll pray for your work, and your prom, and your parents", "You know I'll be praying for your homework and your friends and whatever else is on your mind", and "I'll definitely be praying for that missions trip you're going on for the Big Guy (with all due respect)". It's so cool!!!
So thanks, let's keep it up! Ba ba ba ba ba... I'm loving it! (lame)

Monday Night at the Hub
I had a great night tonight. Today's a Monday so I met with the people who are going to Thunderbay with me. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned them at least once before. Tonight we were talking about journaling.
1 Study Notes (Bible)
2 Prayer Journals
3 God Stories
They asked if any of us journaled, and I could say yes because of this blog, although I never actually mentioned it specifically. Prayer journals are cool, I might start one. Talking to God on paper. But the other side of that is that it does take a lot of time, worth it though but still time consuming. Cool things can come of them and the thing about it is that they're so personal and real. Honest too. We were talking about why we wouldn't let people read them and that was one of the reasons. Another reason that I didn't mention at the time was that I would hate to have someone read my deepest most personal thoughts and then knowing those things, have that relationship whereever it is left stagnant or have nothing change. Know what I mean? They would know so much about you and that be it, I don't know if that makes sense. I don't have the right words to say what I mean. We also talked about why we would want to read someone else's and the one reason that I think is most true for me is I would want to know what people think of me, and also just to know what's really going on in my life.
We talked about dreams and I got to tell the one that you guys just got the chance to read now. My friend Jodi guessed that it was Jesus before I even said so! He definitely wasn't trying to hide who he was, that's for sure.
God stories. Everyone get writing what God's doing in your life! I bet one day they'll affect or change someone else in someway. I want to do this more, and I'm not gonna lie I wanna see more of Jesus working in my life!
What we did tonight that was cool. We got to write letters to God and we sealed them and they said that we would would send them to us not for our next birthday but the one after that. That would be my 18th. The whole time I wrote I was just wondering what God show me about the letter in a year's plus time. I tried just writing about what's going on in my life now as a prayer. But even after I had finished I was still thinking of things I could've put in there that I didn't. But I'm excited about that because it's cool. FYI My birthday's the 24th of June, don't forget it.
